Marriage and Family Therapist

Hello! My name is Leslye Tinson and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving residents in the states of California, Florida, Nevada and Texas. I have been an LMFT in private practice since 2018, after completing over 10 years of internships and training. My therapy office is fully virtual, and I am available by video and phone for therapy sessions.

I am a Black cis-woman who specializes in working with Black and African American people, people within the LGBTQIA+ community, and I provide mental health services to children and adolescents (age 7 and above), adults, couples and families. I find value in my self-identity and I bring my full self into my work. I hope that we are able to build an authentic and supportive therapeutic relationship.

My Practice

I believe that when you are not living out your true path, it may result in depression, anxiety, or relationship issues. In short, my practice is here to help you set a goal and achieve it. Life is amazing, and yet, life can be really difficult. If you have hit a few bumps in the road along the way, I am here to help you identify the hurdles that keep you from enjoying your life at its optimal level. I believe we all deserve to be seen and heard and valued.

I enjoy being a Black-owned, woman-owned, and ethnic minority-owned small business. I provide personal attention to each client's case and will work with you to determine the best course of action for your mental health needs. While there are a lot of tech companies trying to take over the mental health field right now, it is important to invest in yourself by seeing an individual therapist who cares about you and has the time to focus on you!

My Philosophy

I believe that who we are and how the world sees us impacts our day to day life and experiences.  I use a relational and culturally-affirming model in my practice, and my focus is on understanding the individual and family dynamics that contribute to your self-identity and self-fulfillment, in a global world that has not been kind to people who are different. I am passionate about working with clients of color and their allies who understand that the wounds of oppression run deep, and through therapy, desire to dismantle the psychological trauma left in its place.

I offer this space to you for healing!
